Wisdom books (take any) tells us of the #interconnectedness of the entire universe (what we know and what we do not know yet). System thinking has a striking similarity and is a discipline which talks about interconnectedness of all the components of a defined system (the universe). Our journey is about discovering this interconnectedness and its application in our lives, in our society and in our organizations. With the advent of technology, this is becoming glaringly more visible. We have to open our eyes (outer and inner) and allow this truth to permeate us.
What is this interconnectedness I am referring to?
We use the word “Global” to refer to this interconnectedness. It sounds appealing and stylish too. The following example will help – the subprime crisis is global (not local); the ISIS crisis is global (appears local); temperatures rising (global); Social media messages (global); movies, fashion, travel, manufacturing – the list is endless. Today, everything we do is global in nature (this very article will be read by people across the earth). We get to view the statistics, hence we are aware and this helps us choose whom to follow, what to write.
