History is witness to numerous transformation movements which have shaped the course of humanity. I am witness to 3 such movements which are slowly and surely gaining grounds in all Indian hearts. We have an open invitation to be part of making new history in the course of our great motherland, inviting us to restore her splendid beauty in the sands of time.

Swachh Bharat Abhiyan (Clean India Movement)

This is a revolution in the making. Like any great revolution, the fire has been lit. It is now for each one of us to partake in this #utopian dream of a Clean India and make that a reality. Just as Rome was not built in a dream, so it is with this Abhiyan. The government has sounded the bugle, have you picked up your brooms to clean the cobwebs in your own minds and say to yourself “This is possible”, let me do my part in this great revolution of Swachh Bharat Abhiyan. I dream of this one single Abhiyan to write a new chapter in the history of India.

Building and forging relationships with all major Asian economies

The current prime minister Shri Narendra Modi clearly showing “execution” amidst the whirlwinds of political and economic El Ninos, I am reminded of the powerful book by Stephen Covey viz. The 4 Disciplines of Execution, in which we are reminded about focusing on the Wildly Important Goals (WIG) amidst the whirlwind of daily living. I am also clearly reminded about the “Circle of Influence” which all successful leaders like to play their game. The positive impact of these relationship building will be felt in the years to come. Watch out.

Digital India

For the first time in Indian history, the leaders in power are harnessing the power of technology and social media. Harnessing not only to reach out to the masses, but also to use the data so generated in forming policies which will have far reaching impact on our social system in the decades to come. With the Digital India initiative going full ignition, its only a matter of time when technology will generate intelligent data and give the common man the power to decide to vote or not to vote. Take the recent case of the DP 2034 plan of Mumbai or the “Save Aarey” campaign, which were successful movements, participated by every Mumbai citizen who cared.

To summarize, it’s time to act on a new vision which is shared with us all. Irrespective of our political ideologies, the vision is about transforming the whole country, igniting a shift in our own paradigms of bringing the moral story of “Cleanliness is next to godliness” from the books to our way of living.

It is this new vision which invites us to re-examine our own paradigms of the India we want to be part of and creates an opportunity for each one of us to create a new language of #hope in the hearts of us all.
