Nature likes organic growth. Whether it be the seed just planted or the coconut tree giving birth to new branches or you and me from the time of conception, we follow an organic growth cycle. A cycle of its own which at no point in time can be hastened.
Sowing reminds us of the vast farmlands, often immortalized in movies of Bollywood, whether the camera captures the vast pastures of Punjab or the Tulip gardens of Kashmir.
Does it ever strike that each one of us is constantly sowing in our individual lives and in the collective lives of the society. Think about it. Here are a few examples as references,
Every time I do not litter, I have sown the seed of cleanliness (Individual)
Every time We do not litter, we have sown the seed of cleanliness (Society)
Every time I do not discriminate you due to race, colour, gender, I have sown the seed of diversity and inclusion (Individual)
Every time We do not discriminate due to race, colour, gender, we have sown the seeds of diversity and inclusion (Society)
Every time I follow the traffic lights, I sow the seed of lane discipline, minimize accidents and thereby save at least one life (may be my own) (Individual)
Every time We follow the traffic lights, we sow the seeds of lane discipline, minimize accidents and thereby save lives (that’s noble indeed) (Society)
The list continues…….start with the I and reach out to the We.
It takes ONE to be the “I” and just TWO to be the “We”
